Hortensa has been responsible for the general management of the firm for 32 years. She oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, including the financial system, time-tracking, billing, trust account management, collections, bookkeeping, expense management, and account receivables & payables. She also oversees human resources, including personnel file maintenance, benefits administrator, payroll management, PTO tracking and personnel policy implementation, as well as technology and facilities management. With her extensive office management and administrative experience, Hortensa provides invaluable support for a wide variety of firm and client needs. Born in Jamaica, Hortensa left shortly after high school, taking with her a love of cooking from her maternal grandmother. She currently lives in New York with her family. She is married with two adult daughters, both SUNY graduates, who work as a special ed teacher at a New York City charter school and as an associate at Peacock.
